2nd RV Project I started construction of my new RV-4 in August, 2001. A complete kit was purchased from a pilot who started it in 1989. Initially the pieces were moved to my hanger. I am building at home again. After setting up the old RV-6 jig in my basement, parts are moved home as needed.
The kit came with nice pre built spares. These took me 40 hours to build on my RV-6. The kit has short gear legs and a dynafocal engine mount. I acquired a conical O-360, sold the dynafocal mount and short gear legs and now have the proper mount with long legs. The chart below shows my building progress time line. |
